Safeguarding at Treffos

Safeguarding and child protection are key priorities at Treffos School. We are committed to ensuring that all children are safe and supported, and we take our responsibility to safeguard their welfare very seriously. We recognise that every child has a right to protection, in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), and this is embedded within the ethos of our school.

This policy applies to the entire school workforce, including staff, volunteers, and visitors. In particular, our safer recruitment procedures ensure that all staff and volunteers are appropriately DBS checked and assessed for suitability.

We work in close partnership with external agencies to safeguard children. Where concerns arise, it may be necessary to make a referral to Children’s Services.

Treffos School has a comprehensive safeguarding and child protection policy in place. All staff receive regular safeguarding training, enabling them to identify and respond appropriately to concerns regarding child welfare.
