Communication with Parents
Each term begins with a Parent Curriculum Meeting for each class. During this presentation, teachers outline the topic and main areas of the curriculum to be covered over the term. Any Educational trips, special visitors or other arrangements will be highlighted. Teachers also explain how you can best support your child at home. School contact details for your child’s class teacher are shared with parents. There is always an opportunity for parents to ask any questions about the term ahead. We do our best to keep you fully informed about forthcoming school events through weekly bulletins, regular emails, Seesaw messages and letters from the class teachers and SLT.
Open Door Policy
Our approach is an open door policy, therefore at the beginning of the day teachers can be available if a parent wishes to flag up an issue or a concern they have.
Similarly, at the end of each day, teachers are available at pick up time to follow up any concerns which can be addressed speedily.
If parents need to discuss a concern in private, they may arrange with the class teacher to book an appointment at a mutually convenient time and the meeting may then take place in a private space.
Parent Consultation Evenings
Formal parent consultation evenings are held twice a year, in the Autumn and Spring Terms. These can be arranged on a face to face basis or via Zoom. You will receive a written report about your child in the Summer Term.
